Reproductive
and sexual health are integral components of the overall
physical, emotional, and
mental well-being of women and girls of color. As such, it
is important to understand how race, class, ethnicity, sexuality
and other markers of difference inform reproductive and sexual
health policies, laws, primary health care, and access to information
and resources. We believe that women and girls of color are
the authorities with regard to their own reproductive and sexual
health. Therefore, we support women of color's involvement
in the development of reproductive and sexual health policies,
research, and advocacy efforts at the local, state, and national
level.
The National Women's Alliance supports the Reproductive
Health Bill of Rights for Women of Color.
